A LAKESIDE RETREAT
About
Saranac Lake Inn
On the shores of Lake Flower in the village of Saranac Lake, the inn is a lakefront retreat where the village meets the water. A short walk from the cafes and shops of downtown, and a few steps from your own dock. A stay built for time on the lake and easy days in the Adirondacks.

Welcoming Travelers Since 1923
The inn opened in 1923, one of the first places to take in travelers when Saranac Lake was still a young village. Family-run and right on the water, it became a fixture, the kind of place people came back to summer after summer. It grew over the years, with buildings added through the 1950s and 60s, but the draw never changed. The lake out front, and an easy welcome at the door.
That long life by the water is still the heart of it. White Rainbow is carrying the inn into its next chapter with care, keeping the character that makes it feel like the Adirondacks while bringing the comforts up to date. A working lakefront inn with a century of history, in good hands.

A Lighter Footprint
Sitting right on the water shapes how the inn is run. Care for the lake is built into the small choices. The pool is solar heated and the rooms run on heat pumps. You'll find organic cotton linens, recycled materials, and Bee Kind honey bath products throughout. And with kayaks, canoes, and bikes free at the door, much of your stay can happen without starting the car. None of it is loud. It's just how a lakeside inn ought to run.

Part of the White Rainbow Collection
The Saranac Lake Inn is proudly part of the White Rainbow collection, a family of boutique hotels in the Adirondacks and Montana. Each property has its own character, while sharing the same spirit of authenticity and care.

Wellness in Nature
The Saranac chain opens right off the dock, more than thirty miles of connected water through quiet bays and pine. Take a canoe out at first light, swim off the dock, or sit by the fire as the lake goes still. Nature isn't nearby here. It's the property.
On the Property
Part of your stay includes the simple things right outside the door. Free use of the kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards on the shore, bikes for the village and the trails, and a seasonal outdoor pool through the summer. There's always something to do, or nothing at all.
The Necessities
Staying with us means comfort and convenience within reach. Complimentary high-speed WiFi, free parking, soft linens, and in-room coffee, with welcoming common spaces and a fire pit by the water. See our room types for the full list.
